Louisa Riess is Senior Research Associate at the Competence Center for Diversity, Disability & Inclusion at the Institute for International Management and Diversity Management at the University of St. Gallen. Her work focuses primarily on the inclusion of people with disabilities in the work context. She researches what managers and employees can specifically do to create inclusive work environments. Her current research project “Nothing About Us Without Us: The Role of Voice for the Workplace Inclusion of People with Disabilities” is funded by the Basic Research Fund of the University of St. Gallen.
She also leads various corporate projects on the topics of diversity and (disability) inclusion and is a lecturer in business ethics at the WHU-Otto Beisheim School of Management in Germany.
Previously, she studied management and mechanical engineering and worked in the automotive industry. She completed her doctorate at WHU-Otto Beisheim School of Management until 2022. In 2021, she was also a Research Fellow at Singapore Management University.
